what is enzyme

Reply 1

an enzyme is a biological catalyst - it speeds up the rate of important biological processes without being used up in the process

examples of enzymes in the human body include amylase (catalyses the breakdown of starch) and pepsin (digests proteins in the stomach)

what is enzyme

Proteins which work as catalysts and therefore makes it possible to speed the rate of biological processes for metabolisms up at low thermal energy (body heat). They don't get changed in these chemical reactions.
