40 days and no period

I am 100% not pregnant, my periods can be as late as 39 days. I knew something was up before I was due my period because the day I was meant to be ovulating I didn't and instead I ovulated the following week. I am still late by 2 days after ovulation. I am underweight from birth but have always had regular periods and when I was 14 I used to skip a month and start again until I was in pain and started regularly. I wanted to induce my period but I am scared to because I will be in so much pain. There are times since 2020 (had periods since 2011) that I went yellow or pale in the face from period pain after feeling like my body was on fire and that's caused by period pain, once the excruciating pain passes it goes away. In 2022 this happened and I gagged.

I am having symptoms of periods like cramps and tickling in the vulva but it doesnt start and a part of me does want it to because otherwise I will constantly be in period pain every day until it starts and stops.

thanks for sharing. did you have a question, or was this just a rant? maybe take some painkillers for the pain?

What could be causes behind it? The possibility of me losing weight than what I was?

Turns out I started now but I still would want to know what could be potential causes.

losing weight can affect you cycle, yes. so can plenty of other things. no one on the internet will be able to tell you the exact cause in your case.

normal is 24-38 days so it's above average

Maybe that means I had more weight before and now I lost some of it?

Go see a nurse, i had very severe pain and irregular periods- endometriosis runs in my family so I am currently being monitored for that. But they have recommended the pill (mini-pill) and since going on it I’ve had the least pain during my cycle. Its been a game changer for me, but I’d recommend speaking to someone qualified in this area, they will be able to give your their advice on the best steps.
