How to catch up on content in year 10

I am doing GCSES in May 2025 and i’m in year 10 rn. I didn’t pay attention to much in lessons and i have a lot of content to make notes for. I’m mainly struggling with English Maths and science. How can i learn content that i'm behind on properly, what resources should i use and is it too late to catch up without a teachers help ?? For science please share tips for each science ( e.g bio chem and physics) and english language and lit
Hey! Everyone's revision methods are different so I'd advise you to go try some different methods for each subject and see which ones work best for you!

From my experience:

Sciences - Making summaries of the textbook + specifications and making use of time every 2-3 weeks to review my notes and memorise them. Moreover, I like to use resources on YouTube like Primrose Kitten and FreeScienceLessons to fill in missing gaps of information; Likewise, doing past papers to present my retained/memorised notes and see if I can do well!

English - Practice papers! Writing more can help increase your writing speed and can give you an advantage during the exam.

Maths - Honestly, you can't do much for maths as the questions coming up are unpredictable - the only thing you can do is do past papers and practice questions for each unit.

Goodluck, and hope this helps!

i think for maths it's really good to do past papers as you can practice many kinds of questions, additionally maths genie have questions organised into grades so if you're aiming for a grade 7 for example you can practice the grade 7 questions and below so you have lots of practice in those

for english lit poetry you can memorise quotes and stuff using gizmo which is a flashcard app/website where you type in a quote for example and the app will highlight words to test you on or you can highlight words yourself

for science you can use cognito which is an amazing website which tests you on biology, chemistry and physics and you can choose your exam board and tier of entry

also for english and science you can use seneca which i know has helped some people, additionally past papers are useful for every subject
