Student finance medicine

Hi,
I have done a biomedical science degree and will start an undergrad medicine degree in September.
I have seen several forums and other people say that they have received maintenance loans for their second degree. But when I called student finance they said that as it is an equivalent degree that I am not eligible. I know that I cannot apply for a tuition fee loan but only the maintenance loan which I did.
Can someone help please as I have seen and know people who have received maintenance loan for studying medicine as a second degree?

The full course name is Medicine A100 course 5 year.

If you already hold a honour degree or higher then you should be eligible for Maintenance Loan for years 1-4. Reduced Rate Maintenance Loan for any subsequent years.
