Uni of Sheffield Accomodation

Hi! Planning on applying to Uni of Sheffield next year for Law!
I’ve been looking at the accommodation options but don’t know which one will be best. I’m not a huge party person and don’t enjoy drinking much, but still want to be sociable and go for quieter nights out. I heard that endcliff and ranmoor are louder and a lot more sociable, but on the other side city accommodation is apparently very quiet?
Is there an option when applying to ask for a quieter block at Endcliff/Ranmoor? Also, is it true that not many home students choose city accommodation and it’s mostly international students?

Yh im applying uni of sheff, yh my mates who are already there say the city accoms are full of international, endcliffe and ranmoor are the regular ones, endcliffe louder than ranmoor. Im similar to u, im not a crazy party person bjt i like meeting ppl etc, so im thinkingof going for endcliffe, like it can't be really loud

Hi guys, I'm a first year - currently in Froggatt in endcliffe. I don't go clubbing, neither do my flatmates that much either (and I am not in a 'quiet' flat). The noise is fine but wherever you go for Uni you will defo need earplugs. I know a lot of people in city accomm who are lonely, because the flats are smaller, more expensive and yes quite international. The best bet is Endcliffe, then ranmoor. Quieter accommodation is an option on the form but you will be put with very quiet people who may also be very introverted rather than just not clubbers - which could also not be ideal. I would just apply to one of the student villages in the normal accomm and see how it goes. It is very easy to move flats once you are here and lots of people have done that so don't stress too much now, its never the end of the world! I couldn't be happier in endcliffe!
Any questions just ask
