Non-Eu Student Finance Eligibility

Hi there,

I am an Indian national heading back to uni to study a second undergraduate degree in Mathematics at university full-time in England.(I have not used student finance before)

As the spouse of a British Citizen (both of us have lived here for over 3 years), am I entitled to any student finance?

TIA

Hi Rahul,

We normally don't fund second degrees unless it's in one of our exception courses. Mathematics isn't one of our exception courses for full time funding. We would suggest speaking to the university you're studying with and see if they know of alternative funding options.

Thanks,
Claire

Thank you Claire! Will this change when the LLE kicks in next year?

Hi Rahul,

We're not aware yet regarding funding for the 25/26 academic year yet. We will know closer to the applications going live next spring regarding eligibility rules. Thanks, Jason

This is completely different to Student Finance. You can find out more information on LLE here SFE - Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) (studentfinance.campaign.gov.uk)

Thanks,
