Access to HE Business vs Computer Science

My end goal is to either do a degree apprenticeship in finance/tech at a big reputable company
Or study something business/computer science related at a reputable university in london like UCL/KCL.

I looked at UCL's CS course entry requirements and it was heartbreaking seeing that they dont accept access students for that course. So is it just better for me to dot Access to HE Business?

Hello @shimmyjimmyfor3,

Have you considered broadening your search to also include other institutions with more flexible entry requirements?

For example, when considering candidates for our business and computer science courses, we review applications holistically and are happy to accept Access to HE programmes. All of our courses are fully flexible too, giving you the option to study online or to utilise the LIBF campus in London. If this sounds interesting to you, you can explore our entry requirements here - https://bit.ly/49W9pA7.

Also, we have a study guide on our website which is designed to help students prepare for a computer science degree and to imagine what their career could look like after one. I think that this might be useful for you in preparing for your next steps, no matter where you decide to study 😊 - https://bit.ly/3TrrFLd

I hope that this helps and good luck with your decision!

Thanks, Becky

I would do the HE course that interests you the most as it can get quite intensive, so you’d need to have an interest in it.

It is a shame that UCL does not accept the HE course but there are many other great universities that do.
