I’m currently in my first year of university and I may be getting married this summer. I currently get student finance based off of my parents income and I was wondering do I let SFE know about the marriage and will I have to do a new application.

Hi there,
If you get married before the start of the academic year then we would need to know so we can update your application. You would upload a copy of your Marriage Certificate along with cover letter explaining why you're sending it and that you wish to amend your name. We would also need your partner to complete the PFF2 Form found here https://media.slc.co.uk/sfe/2425/ft/sfe_pff2_form_2425_o.pdf and then upload this online in your account under the evidence upload option.
