LLB Law at UoM or QMUL

Im an international student that will study law. I got five offers and I had chosen UoM as firm and QMUL as insurance because I made my choice depending on the rankings. But after that I thought that being in London, closer to law firms would be a better opportunity for me. Now once again Im doubting my decision. What do you think?

Being outside of London won’t impact your opportunities massively, as many law firms will cover the transportation fees for people on their schemes. In terms of networking and other events, Manchester is not far from London and hundreds, if not thousands, will commute every day between the two cities. Being such a big city, you would only expect that the transport links are good. Law firms often have representatives at their target universities, and may come and speak about opportunities at your university. As long as you join a law society and/or get involved with networking early on, your career opportunities won’t be limited by not staying in London for university.

Proximity does not necessarily mean access. Oxford and Cambridge are farther than Queen Mary but I doubt that you would think in those lines as you did for Manchester. I suggest that you stick with Manchester.
