Had a 700 word statement run out of things to say

Hi I'm a 3rd year student I just submitted at "700 word statement" but I didn't hit the limit because I run out of things to say. I know this may sound absurd but I wrote a plan for this statement before I wrote the actual thing. As I was writing I realised that I would be a bit under the word, but I couldn't think of anything else to say. This has happened to me last year as well but it's never been a problem with 500-600 word statements or 2500-3000 word essays. The deadline is at 12pm. It might be too late now but I'm just wondering if anyone has been in a situation like this and what did you do about it?

Thanks
The day before I handed in my dissertation I was several thousand words short, and then I crammed in as much as I could and handed my dissertation in on time-and I got a 1st Class Degree-so yes I know how to get a project done the day before it's due.
