Nursery Assistant
Hi, I’m currently studying Early childhood studies at university. I am finished my first year and off for the summer now so I would like to look for jobs within the childcare sector to gain more experience. I am looking at Nursery Assistant jobs but they require me to have an NVQ level 2/3. I have only ever volunteered at a youth club and completed placement at a primary school for when I was doing childcare at A levels. I am not entirely sure what NVQ level 2/3 means and how I would go about gaining it?. Could anyone clarify what this means and how I would go about achieving it?

Hi, I think you should email a few of your local nurseries asking do they have any current job opportunities. Explain that you’re a student and currently studying early childhood studies. They would probably accept that and you shouldn’t have to do NVQ.
