Hi guys, I've applied to diagnostic radiography for September 2024. The main 2 universities I would like to go to are Bradford and Keele and have been shortlisted for the interview of both these uni's However, I'm finding it extremely difficult to find work experience within the Radiography department.

Hey I graduated couple of years ago but I didn’t have any radiography work experience, I did however had a ward work experience and cath lab, but I think if you link your general hospital work experiance with how that motivated you to become a radiographer then you should be fine! Things like “I like patient care and becoming a part of a patient’s hospital journey through imaging service is something I want to do”

Just make sure you know what the job involves so search for 'A day in a life of a DR' on Youtube and watch as many as you can (they are often made by hospital trusts). Also, have a read thread the following thread:

Huge congrats on being shortlisted for the interviews!! 🙂 That's amazing news.
I've contacted the faculty admin to ask for some advice regarding work experience and interviews, I'll be back in touch to let you know their response as soon as possible.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I've just heard back from the academic now. Please see his response below: It won't affect the interview as that is about us finding out about them and their values, however it really helps if can get insight into care delivery, doesn't necessarily have to be a Radiography department. Experience in a care setting of any kind is preferable to no experience.

Hi Areeba,
I hope your interview went well. I just wanted to ask if you would be happy to share your interview experience with UOB. I have mine soon and I'm really nervous, I've done lots of preparation but what was it like, what sort of questions do they ask. I would be so grateful for any info you should or advise. Thank you in advance. <3333

It's against TSR rules to share details of interview questions as it gives an unfair advantage to those who follow. There is some generic advice in the following thread:
