animation at greenwich middlesex or teesside

hello! ive recently got accepted to animation ba s in greenwich, middlesex and the 2d&stop motion at Teesside in Middlesbrough. I don't know where to go, greenwich's campus is gorgeous but their course seems too focused on 3d design, I want to do 2d and stop motion mostly but don't know what yet exactly.

which uni do you think is best, normally id pick Tessie but I'm in London and that's in Middlesbrough, is it wort the move? should I just pick between middlesex and greenwich? id really appreciate any type of help!

Hey @ozkara,

I hope everything has gone well since you received your offers! Where did you end up going and how has it been so far? Just wanted to jump on this and give some insight for anyone else who might be considering Teesside for 2D Animation and Stop Motion further down the line.

We really put employability at the forefront of what we do and give students fantastic opportunities to connect with industry. We hold two major events throughout the year, Animex and ExpoTees.

Animex is our annual Festival of animation, VFX and games, where we have a jam packed week of talks, workshops and activities delivered by a range of guests from industry, we've had guests from Disney, Ubisoft, Framestore, Sony, Industrial Light & Magic, Valve and Square Enix join us over the 25 years Animex has been running. It's a great event for students to get insight into industry and connect with people working with your favourite studios. See what Animex looks like here.

ExpoTees is an annual showcase where our current students have an opportunity to showcase their work. These exhibitions showcase projects and demonstrations across disciplines including digital art, games, animation, and visual effects. ExpoTees allows employers to recruit recent graduates and interns, and gives students the chance to connect with industry professionals, you can see what ExpoTees looks like here.

I hope this gives a bit on insight as to what we do differently here at Teesside, but any questions, just let us know!

James 😄
