Best Accommodation for Med Students at University of Plymouth?

Hey all,

Looking for advice on the best accommodation for studying medicine at Plymouth. What's the top pick in terms of proximity to the medical campus and lectures? Any recommendations on where to apply for accommodation would be awesome. (Any insights would be amazing!, ie pros and cons of different accoms) Thanks!
Hi there!

Glad to hear you're planning to study medicine with us 😁

I'm not a medicine student unfortunately so I don't have much experience with which are the closest accommodation providers but if your main point of study will be in the new Intercity Place healthcare building, our halls of residence on campus or in the student village are just a short walk away (I stayed in Francis Drake on campus and loved the experience I had in halls!) You can find out more about our accommodation options here!

We also have many healthcare students available to chat to on our Unibuddy site so I'd recommend sending them a message to see what they have to say about the most convenient options for your subject! 🙌

Best of luck! 😊

I don’t think it really matters tbh in halls, they are all pretty close to campus.
I think most on campus lectures/seminars anatomy labs etc are in the Portland Building.

Either that or up in the medical school at Derriford hospital. The main bus goes up the B3250 just outside the Portland building. So if you really want to roll out of bed I would go that side of the campus but to be honest, none of it is miles away out of the Unis own halls.

Loads of medics stay at iq Astor House (private halls) which is at a great location on the hoe. My son is there this year and has loved it (not a medic)

If you do with to take this you would be living with 4 other People starting med in September too and so Your wouldn't be alone in that regard. As you’d be taking my contract which is before they increased it would Be a cheap £109 a weel
