University of Portsmouth or Staffordshire University

I know they are two very different uni’s and the courses are slightly different as Portsmouth is criminology and forensic studies and Staffordshire is forensic investigation however I am stuck as I prefer the course at Staffordshire but the location of Portsmouth so I want to hear what people think of both?

Is the department at Portsmouth one that’s at risk of losing staff in their redundancy program?

Obviously I have a bias towards Staffordshire as a student there but I live with someone who studies on the forensic investigation course and she loves it. Always tells me about the cool stuff she's doing and honestly sometimes I'm jealous because it sounds so fun.
There is some really cool facilities that you will be able to access as part of your studies, which are all available on the University of Staffordshire website for you to view.

I'd say that in my experience, you go to University to get the most out of your education so if you prefer the course at Staffordshire then I can only recommend it!

Thank you,

Portsmouth is wonderful for the beach and the dockyard/history. However, I would say it's more of a place to visit than a place to study. University of Staffordshire is full of lovely people with a welcoming community, if you want to study somewhere you will feel more at home then choose Staffordshire. All the way!. Hope this helps a little.
