Home student experience of St Andrews

Hello,
I just wanted to ask if there were any UK students from St Andrews who would maybe be willing to share their experience please? I've heard that, because I'd the big international population at the uni, it can be a slightly tricky to make friends and just wanted to know if that was true? I'm absolutely up for making friends with students from anywhere, so the fact that there is a big international population doesn't worry me too much, but just wanted to see if UK students would be happy to share whether they where happy at St Andrews in terms of social life, or if they struggled.
