A level English literature tips?

im in yr 13 studying for my a levels i find English literature undoubtedly the hardest one to revise effectively for. Does anyone have any tips for how to efficiently revise it? I know the content but pulling it all together is something i find difficult. I’m on the eduquas exam board and I need at least a B.

I advise you to try different revision methods as much as you can to see which method best suits your subject - as everyone's revision methods will differ depending on the individual + subject.

If you're struggling to put content together in summaries - I like to get a brand-new notebook and make summaries and analyses of each text, whether poetry or prose. This helps me gather information all in one area, making revising and memorising the quotes I need easier.

Hi! I got an A in A-level English, and I would say it sounds like you're not sure where to start revising with which topics you should cover. I think the easiest thing to do to understand what you should revise is do an exam paper under timed conditions. Then, ask if your teacher can mark it and go through it with you on your own, so you can understand where you need to improve and what you did well on. It might be that you need to revise one text more, or that your vocab could be better, or that you aren't answering the question as fully as you could be!
Once you've gone through each question and revised and improved your answers, see if your teacher would be happy to go through it again with your answers rewritten. Then try again with different papers until you're consistently getting a secure B grade!
