Is meeting potential partners through friends the most vaible strategy?

I have been thinking about this. It's easy to meet a girl/boy friend's friend and you know you would have some kind of connection(same friend).

potentially but I'm not very experienced in this so I'm bumping this thread in case anyone more experienced wants to reply

It's viable, though I don't know about 'the most' viable; having a friend in common doesn't mean you'll meet someone who is compatible with you.

It happened with one of my family members, but the rest of us, and most of my friends, met someone through work.

It’s a reasonable strategy as your friendship peers will be a similar age and have a network of friends, some of which are likely to be lonely hearts. It’s a natural and informal introduction agency
