Will I receive funding for my full 3 year degree if I repeat first year?

Will likely repeat first year owing to personal difficulties, if my circumstances are approved by my university. I wanted to clarify whether I definitely will receive funding for the first year I repeat, and the entire three years? As far as I know you receive funding for all the years you do your course + one extra year.
If it is possible, then how do I go about reapplying for student finance for when I return? Do I need to inform SFE of the fact I am repeating a year? If so, how? Is there some section in the application?

You would be correct with the calculation. You get funding for the length of your course + additional year - previous study.
If this is your first repeat then you'd still get funding. When you make the application you would select what year of course you're doing.
