Removal from A level course

Can a college kick a student off a course when they are preparing for their final exam ( 8 weeks left) just because they won’t get an A-C grade? My daughter was informed yesterday that this is happening and it’s has affected her mental health significantly. I believe it is dishonest practice as she surely has the right to finish and achieve her grade from G-A? Thanks

Before I ramble on about the provisions of Section 52 of the Education Act 2002 (which covers the exclusion of pupils). Can I just check (a) that you're in the UK, (b) which part of the UK you're in (the rules vary a little), and (c) whether this is a state or independent (private) school.

What makes me think that you may be elsewhere in the world is that refer to "won’t get an A-C grade" (when the top grade at A level is A*, and had been since 2010) and "her grade from G-A" (when the bottom grade at A level is E).
