Grade 9/ top student

Hi, my current grades are 6/7s how can I boost them to 8/9s and genuinely become a top student? If there is already a guy in my class who's target grades are 9s is it possible for me to be like him?? Anyways how many hours should I revise for grade 8/9s, is 2-4hrs good?

Anything really is possible, you just need to have the right mind-set, motivation and work ethic. But realistically the most potent thing in revision is to revise correctly. You have to know what works for you and think about if revising one way would have yielded more than another. This way you can save loads of time. But you also need to be mindful. GCSEs are barely important, and unless you have an important reason to get these grades, then: do not worry. Do not make your life worse just to get the highest you can, 6s and 7s should get you into almost any a levels you want. I personally want to revise 5+ hours in the study leave because I haven't started yet (and I'm trying to get near all 9s). In summary the most important thing to do in revision is to get started, delete all social media, and just do it. The less you stress, the more time you have to revise, the better your grades. You may know all of this already but hopefully something made sense.
