Burning up after a beard trim

Hi,

I've always tended to use my electricl trimmer for my beard whilst having a wet shave is a rarity.

No matter what option I choose, I find my beard area burns up (even my ears!) and it takes washing my face with cold water that alleviates the symptoms. I've used a Nivea post shave moisturiser but that makes it worse.

As it happens with dry or wet, I'm assuming it's nothing to do with my choice of trimmer or razor so assume I need to find a suitable post shave moisturiser (one that is preferably cold lol)

Any tips much appreciated

Thanks

i would definitely recommend learning your direction of hair growth. if you dont shave in the direction of hair growth it could lead to ingrowing and bumps. also buy a really good shaving cream along with an aloe Vera , double bladed topped razor. as well as this exfoliate before hand to remove all the dead/dry skin. Also rinse with cool water. And to conclude i would recommend getting a after shave aloe balm instead of the moisturiser. would recommend icing after and buying natural oils to further the moisturising process.

Thanks Mariah.

I have tried to learn my hair growth as I tend to shave in the opposite direction for a closer shave. Funnily enough, I used some of my wife's Aloe Vera face wash to give it a try and it wasn't too bad. Relying less on chemicals and cleaner stuff may help soothe my irritable skin.
