Skin coming out near/in vagina?

Before I start, this is very TMI and i'm currently unable to see anyone about this so before I can I wanted to ask and see if anyone was experiencing the same thing/had any idea what it was so I have an idea of what to bring up and possibly get mental clarity about this whole thing.

Basically, this piece of flesh looks like it begins to come out towards the bottom of my labia minora and it might even come out of some of my vaginal opening as while I do get periods it looks like it is mainly coming out of that area, I find it extremely uncomfortable and hard to put anything in there (can't insert tampons without discomfort).
I'm almost certain it is not prolapse or my cervix as it doesn't look like either.
It's most comparable to almost a tongue? (it's not wet) it's just a pink piece of flesh that doesn't have a hole, I cant put it back inside without it being uncomfortable, when I touch it it does have feeling, it doesn't feel weird (I don't feel any pressure down there) and its just sorta there.
I've noticed this since I was 8, probably had it before and didn't notice but I've always thought it was normal until recently but I can't find anything online that is similar to it.

A skin tag?

After checking, I'm pretty sure it's not that either

Have you posted about this before or did someone else have a similar issue?

Hadn’t you already been to the doctor to get it checked out? (can’t load the second page of the original thread at the moment)

Did you go back to clarify what it was?

Ok, fair enough. So what have you realised is different to your original thread?

Its actually not that one, their issue sounds similar but is actually quite different from mine. I haven't been to the doctor yet

I basically got the placing of where it was wrong, I said it came out of the vaginal opening but I realised it actually starts at the bottom of the labia minora and continues to where the vaginal opening is. I also just didn't explain about the actual piece in my initial post I'm pretty sure

From your description it sounds like it could be excess skin/flesh. It's definitely best to see a doctor about it. When you do, just describe the issue and the problems it causes. Are you putting off going to the doctor because of embarrassment?

Thanks for letting me know! and I'm not putting going to the doctors off because of embarrassment but due to my age, I'm almost old enough to go by myself/consent to my own treatment so I'd rather wait until I can go alone.

You don't have to be over 18 or even over 16 to go to the doctors alone. If you are considered competent enough to consent to treatment a doctor will see you without telling your parents.

I generally agree with Anon#2 but it partly depends on your age. I'm only guessing about what it might be, I have no medical knowledge! 😆

How much does it bother you?

Ah yeah, I understand, I was honestly just asking to see if anyone even had some idea so even if it's not medically accurate I appreciate it nonetheless. It really doesn't bother me too much since it's not painful or even something that I can feel going through my day but it was just something I realised could be abnormal so thought it was best to try and find out about it

Yep, you should find out about it. I've had a couple of issues down there and it's just something you have to deal with.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the same issue.
