I’ve had my application for Childcare Grant accepted and have set up my account ready to use from the beginning of the academic year and I had to agree not to claim universal credit. I’m just wanting to confirm that I am okay to continue to claim the childcare element of universal credit up until the beginning of the academic year?

Hi there. Yes that is correct, the guidance for this only states that you cannot be eligible at the same time as receiving the childcare element elsewhere so as long as this is stopped before the Academic Year starts then that is fine. Thanks, David
