If I am withdrawn from my university/course will I have to immediately pay back loan?

If I am withdrawn from my university/course will I have to immediately pay back the maintenance loan? Or would I be able to pay it back in future when I am earning over a set amount like usual?

Furthermore I would be attending a different university and course in September if this affects anything.

Thanks!!
I have moved your thread to the 'Ask SFE' section where you should get an official answer

Hi there,

When you withdraw we will require an electronic Change of Circumstance (COC) from your university to confirm the date you last attended your course. Once this is received and processed our assessors will recalculate your entitlement for the length of time you attended the course which may lead to an overpayment. If you have an overpayment you can either pay this back right away or agree a payment plan with the collections team, or when you do return this will be removed from your future entitlement.

Thanks, Jason

Hi Daisy. For overpayments, this would be passed to our collections team to arrange how this would be repaid. If you are returning to study again next year, this amount would instead be deducted from your entitlement when you return. Thanks, David
