Did Cambridge maths students find maths and further maths a level very easy?

My query is in the title? Also, what type of scores would they be getting in past papers and topic tests?
Maths: fairly so, though I wasn't a huge fan of Statistics; Further Maths: somewhat with a few topics that I wasn't a fan of, but I only did six months of it due to COVID. Generally, STEP is the main hurdle. That's not to say that it was all plain sailing, but I was fairly confident that, even for the topics I didn't like, I could get them with enough practice.

thank you this is really reassuraing, icl im lookign to apply to maths and ive been doing well on tests up until this mock which i think i underperformed in and was questioning if to apply to cambridge maths you need to be getting above 90 for all test. It sounds crazy but ive been having a huge amount of imposter syndrome recently, thanks for your reply i appreciate it.

Id guess that theyre looking for you to do well, in general, as your predicted grades should be ~A*, though sometimes the actual offer is A/A* as youd be doing step at the same time as your a levels. Reality is everyone sometimes has a bad day at the office.

If youre thinking of applying though, you should be thinking about step (foundation modules maybe) and what super curriculum stuff youd put on the personal statement.

Thank you for your reply. I have actually started on the STEP foundation modules and doing some extra problem solving stuff as well so I should be fine. Ill be getting my predicteds soon so I'll see. Super curriculars wise, I have a book a couple courses i watched, a related coding project i did and doing maths in general.

Sounds like youre making a decent start, so dont overthink things. Just focus on what youre doing next.
