English Language and Literature NEA: Making Connections

Hi,
I'm struggling with my NEA, I want to do Room by Emma Donoghue as my literary but I'm not sure what to compare it with for my non-literary, I was considering doing articles on prisoners rejoining society however I can't seem to find suitable articles with themes of language features I want to explore and they're notably too short to analyse, I'm struggling to find a connection when it comes to articles as either they're too scientific or not published by an official article site such as The Guardian, the best stuff I can find is on Quora-

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can compare Room too?

P.S if not, I have backups NEA ideas -
