DSA Question

I originally went to uni almost twenty years ago, and back then, you could apply for Disabled Student’s Allowance to help cover assessment costs. That's how I was diagnosed with dyslexia.

Now I'm set to go back to uni in September and am seeking an autism assessment. The system seems impossible, though. Here in Northern Ireland, the waiting list is years long, because apparently only one person in the whole country can diagnose adults. Meanwhile, private fees are crazy expensive.

Is there any way DSA might be able to cover part of the cost?

From my experience this isn't the case
A rare few unis have private assessments that you can access for free which have no more than a 6 month wait list
Depends on the uni but not something that DSA offer

They will not cover the cost of an assessment sadly.
