Is there a way to get old school qualifications

Hi, not for me but for my dad

So my dad has applied for a job (they have offered him a position and he's accepted, still waiting for a start date) but they are asking for his school qualifications, he left school in the 80s and has moved house at least 3 times since then so he's not sure that he can find them. Is there a way to get a record of his qualifications from back then?

The exam boards can provide replacement certificates (or a "certified statement of results", which employers are perfectly happy to accept).

Unfortunately, he'll need to contact each exam board separately - and he probably has no idea which exam boards he was using, so he'll need to contact them all. Naturally, they charge for this service.

There is a list of the exam boards, with a link to the "replacement certificates" web page for each, here.

Yes, I recently got a replacement certificate from 1986. It took a wee while as they were in the process of digitising/archiving their documents.
