Telecommunications engineer job with "Provisional" licence?

I am currently on a telecom repair job training course that will last untill the end of june, as I am looking to get immediately employed by the time I am done, only problem is most jobs now Ive seen require a "Full Drivers licence", however I only have a provisional one, so into my 3rd week of training, is it possible to get one of these jobs straight away once I am done?, Im very concerned as since I don't have a full drivers licence can I get one of these roles with just a provisional one?

Would it be reasonable to assume that a telecoms engineer would need to fix equipment at various different locations, and would need to travel between those locations?

Given that you're on a provisional license, how are you proposing that you travel between those different locations?

Your course has about 11 more weeks to go (if my maths is correct). Have you entertained the possibility not trying to pass your driving test in that time?

The course is about 8 weeks in total (I started on the 3rd of april) and I would just like advice on whether its worth applying to the jobs that want a full licence, say if I drive to locations under supervision/ with another worker (on all roads except motorways from what I read).

Tbh I don't have too much experience behind the wheel and not sure if i can realistically pass it within the few weeks left as I havent even started the theory test/ found an instructor.

If they ask for a full driving license, I would say there is absolutely no point in applying if you only have a provisional. Sorry. :frown:
