Can I get funding for a full time course if I've studied before?

Hi everyone
I have found lots of conflicting information and no clear answer on the Internet so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've studied at university before back in 2021 and changed courses a few times up until final withdrawal in 2023 but never actually completed my degree nor gained any qualification from it. I am now looking to go back into full time study at a new university and doing a completely new course and I was wondering whether I would be eligible for funding for the entirety of the course. The course length is 4 years.
Would this impact any maintenance loans as well?

Thank you

Hi Karolina,

Can you please tell us in total how many years of previous study you have? Were these all full-time?

What kind of course are you thinking of studying now?

Thanks, Graeme

Okay, thanks - assuming your new course is full-time this means you'll be entitled to the Maintenance Loan in every year.

Due to your previous study you won't be entitled to the Tuition Fee Loan in the first year of a new course.

However, if you have Compelling Personal Reasons (CPR) for not completing your previous course we can award you an additional year of funding.

Please see the link below, and you can upload any evidence on your account and we'll review it.

Thanks, Graeme
