Brno VETUNI

What is the Brno veterinary medicine English course like in terms of teaching quality, facilities, people and life experience? Have just completed the entrance exam and would love to get some insights from people who have experienced it first hand. (Also applied to university in Budapest and Slovakia)

Hey, I have heard it is one of the best universities in Europe to study vet medicine in english and the facilities are very good. What was the entrance exam like in terms of topics asked and difficulty level because there are no past papers available. Thanks

Regarding the enterance exam, it was really easy, simple basic multiple choice questions. Chemistry part had some calculation, naming compounds and simple reactions. Biology had some classification, names of scientists that discovered things like Mendel, I can’t really remember what else came out exactly.

There were some things I had never heard of before as it’s not in my Alevel syllabus but I just guessed and I got quite a good mark. Still haven’t received whether or not i’ve been accepted though.

I will be sitting for the Budapest entrance exam Monday coming. I’ve heard it’s very easy to get in unless all spaces have been filled. Anyways I think I’d prefer Brno as what i’ve heard about Budapest first hand experience wasnt the best however I haven’t got any first hand experience from people who’ve been to Brno.

So idk if Brno actually has a better reputation or not.

Hello, Did you take your exam online? I am going to take an exam too this week. But I didn't get any information about the exam like how it will work in that day & no link etc... so kinda nervous. If it is when did you got the link? Thank you!
(+ Also do u remember what kind/type of calculation was in chemistry? 😭 I am horrible at calculations & I'm so worried that it will be hard

Yes the entrance exam was online. I got an email around 3 days prior to the exam date explaining some things. Then I received the link the day of. Regarding the calculation, I found them easy compared to the calculations I've been doing for A-level. They're mostly playing around with concentrations if I remember well but they're all very short calculations, and it's multiple choice so you can sort of

Thank you for answer! Fortunately, I just received the email too. I have a question if you don't mind, have you ever been able to use a periodic table during test? Is it banned? Since the person in charge didn't give me an answer, I have no way to ask... :frown:

Tbh I just left it on my desk and I did use it but they never actually mentioned it. The entrance exam of Budapest though actually did mention it and said it’s allowed.

Hi are you studying in Brno currently? How's it going? I am also going to apply for Brno and Budapest next year but I'm not sure which one is better. I heard that Brno would provide much better practical training. I appreciate a lot if you would like to share your views. ;-)
