What do people talk about in clubs?

Hey uni student here. Whenever I go to clubs with my friends they're always leaning over into each other and having seemingly funny conversations. This also goes for when one of my friends picks up a girl. What do people actually talk about in the club? Other than saying I'm going to get a drink or go to the toilet I can't really have conversations in a club and when someone does try to say something to me I usually only pick up a couple words in the sentence and use that and hand signs to decipher what they mean. But there's no way I could have a full conversation in a club

The noise in clubs makes conversation largely impossible. Communication is about confidence, appearance, body language and a few well timed quips. You either thrive in this environment or you don’t and it’s best then to socialise somewhere where it’s easier to get to know people
