Uni of Leeds Vs Uni of Southampton

I have got into both the University of Southampton and Leeds for BSc Geology. But as an international student, I can't decide which one is better in terms of living and student clubs. Nightlife is not a priority for me to be precise, but outdoor activities such as biking are very important. Also, please suggest which uni has a better teaching quality too.

Leeds and Southampton have different climates and vibes. Leeds has better social vibes.

Is there any specifically in Leeds? Besides that, Could you give more insight into living in Southampton?

Southampton is a spacious city with about 2 unis there, University of Southampton and Southampton Solent. So it can be seen as a ‘student’ city but not in the same way as Oxford or Cambridge student cities.

Socially, it has a relaxed vibe with open and friendly people. It is also down south so relatively warmer than Leeds or Northern unis. You can also cycle to many places as the city is relatively flat and easy to move around.

Cost of student living, imho, is relatively ok, but I am not sure about Leeds.

I am a bit biased, I studied at Leeds. The union is one of the largest in the country with many societies and clubs. The Yorkshire Dales which are nearby are a fabulous resource for outdoor pursuits. Southampton is also a decent city but I have no idea what the uni is like
