Uni of Leeds Vs Uni of Southampton

I have got into both the University of Southampton and Leeds for BSc Geology. But as an international student, I can't decide which one is better in terms of living and student clubs. Nightlife is not a priority for me to be precise, but outdoor activities such as biking are very important. Also, please suggest which uni has a better teaching quality too.

Hi,

It's wonderful to hear that you are considering the Southampton as a uni destination. I don't Leeds very well as a city, but Southampton is a really good place for outdoor activaties. The city boasts several parks all around the city as well as Southampton Common, which is about 300 acres of green space in the middle of the city. It is a great place for activities such as biking. we are also just a train ride from the New Forest National Park. In terms of teaching, the University of Southampton has lots of great lecturers as well as large acedemic support system in place should you want it.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Hello Matthew, Thank You for the response. I would like to know if there are any clubs dedicated to outdoor activities.

There are quite a few. The full list of clubs and societies can be found on the Student Union website, but we have hundreds to choose from. The student's union also puts on Give It A Go events throughout the year, whcih includes outdoor excursiosions (sometimes with a small charge).
