How to Defer?

I've received an offer from LSE to study Management in September 2024, and tbh, I would rather take a year out and then start in 2025. Looking at the info LSE send offer holders, it is possible and I just need to email them basically. But my issue is that I have no idea how to write this email; eg, like how long do I make it, how professional, how many reasons do I need to give. If anyone has any advice that they could give to help me, would be much appreciated as atm I don't have a clue what to do. Thanks lads x
Hi, I've moved your thread to the applications and UCAS forum from the medicine forum.

You're overthinking this otherwise. Just send an email to admissions saying you are an offer holder with your details (who you are, what programme you have an offer for, for which year of entry, etc) and say you would like to defer entry for a year and ask if this is possible and if so what do you need to do.

I wouldn't give any reasons unless they specifically ask you.

Spot-on. If the uni wants explanation, they’ll ask for it.

Don’t forget to include your UCAS ID.

Hi Sam, would you mind telling how did you proceed as in a similar situation. Were you able to defer?
