Exeter or Cardiff for Law
I don't know which to firm between Exeter and Cardiff. I like the idea of being on a campus but when I visited Exeter I was a bit underwhelmed and the accommodation is quite expensive. Cardiff is a more buzzing place but it's very spread out. Not sure if its reputation is as good as Exeter?

Hi there, I have visited both universities (not for open days just had friends who went there) and I see your point. Cardiff is much more affordable for students compared to Exeter. However, I found Exeter to be more beautifully laid out - it's very picturesque. Exeter Cathedral and the Quay are both stunning - and it's not far from other South-West destinations like beaches that are just as beautiful.
A lot of students worry about prestige and reputation of the universities that they go to so I get that. I would personally look more into student satisfaction and how your course is structured. Obviously, I don't know too much about Law as a degree, but look into how both universities do it. Are you someone who likes to do more coursework than exams? Do you like more contact time (a lot more lectures than private self-study on your own)? What are the networking opportunities like (e.g. possibility to do placements/gain experience at law firms)?
I generally find that students who try to firm a university and degree that suits them better, tend to be a lot happier and thrive not just academically but also just emotionally too. But obviously, if reputation is key for Law (I don't know too much about it), then do consider it. I come from a science background, and I know that real-world experience is what employers are looking for, not where you got your degree.
It might be worth it to maybe chat to students who do your degree from those universities. UniBuddy is a platform that does offer this - might be worth it to check it out. I know some universities have added student ambassadors to this.

Dunno if you already chose but I picked Cardiff as my firm for law. Exeter seemed nice layout wise but I found Cardiff was more affordable and personally I really like the city.
