Is student loan application deadline is when you should apply by or approved by?

It says how if you don’t apply by the deadline you might not receive your payment in time, does that mean you need to apply by or have applied and approved by that deadline to get your payment on time.

It’s what it says - apply before the deadline.

If you have a complicated situation then apply earlier

So it’s nothing to do with having approved before that date but having applied by that time? I’m stalling for time cause I’m waiting for some documents from Home office that I need to get loan approved but I don’t know if I’d have them before deadline, now I’m worried what if I don’t get loan in time for not getting approved on time. Since 17th May is very close

Hi there,

You do have up to 9 months after the course begins to apply for the funding but do be advised that applications can take 6-8 weeks (especially during the summer with late applicants). And if any further evidence is needed after you submit this then that does go into a new queue to be processed. So be advised there may be delays in payments if you do apply later (or if further evidence is needed). Thanks, Jason
