Getting an A*

I was wondering if you need to get an A* in each paper individually with a total UMS above 270 for A2 for an A* In bio, chem and phy edexcel?

Or is getting above 270 enough without getting an A* in one paper still give an overall A* grade? (I know that we need to get a total of 480/600 overall and 270/300 in A2. Just need to know if we have to get A* in each paper.)
Yeah im pretty sure you need to meet the total UMS boundary, which means one paper can miss the A* boundary, but another paper can make up for it. Thats my understanding
