NHS LSF

I have been aware of this grant of £5000 per year which I want to apply to for my eligible course. However I am unsure if I want to self fund or use SFE as of yet. I have read that some people were unable to recieve this grant due to not using SFE and therefore not having a letter of eligibility. The website states that there are other arrangements for thkse who dont take out a loan, however a different source stated that a person *may* be able to recieve funding without SFE. This has me concerned as I would like to self fund with the support of LSF but the source makes it seem as if it is a amaller chance.

I have previously been loaned by SFE before and have got a letter from the past. I am also thinking of applying for SFE whilst I am making my decision, am I able to cancel a confirmed application before teaching starts? And has anyone had experience with getting the LSF without needing to apply for tuition or maintenance loan.

I have replied to your question re the NHS LSF on the other thread. With regards to student finance, yes you can apply and then decline the loans at a later date.

Hi. I am in this same position this year. How did this go for you? I'm thinking of self-funding because if I get a grant of £5,000 I don't want to pay back tuition fee debt or student finance as I will be able to cover the difference.
