UCAS choices advice

I have received offers from both University of Stirling and University of St andrews to study history and philosophy, I currently live in a flat in Stirling which is almost perfect and very affordable but I'm struggling to make my decision on whether to go to St andrews or Stirling as the commute to st andrews would take 2 hours round trip but would cost nothing with my bus pass.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey Anon!

Congrats on your offers! 😀 Have you had a chance to visit both of the campuses recently? It's maybe worth trying to visit St Andrews again if you have a chance to give yourself another feel for the commute. Try to travel at similar times you might be travelling to uni to give yourself a real feel for the journey and whether you'd be happy to do it.

Is there a course that jumps out at you more than the other? Look at the class modules and figure out which appeal to you more, and consider the student life too. Both unis have different 'vibes' so have a think about what type of things are important to you and see how each fits in to your priorities.
