feeling unwell before a 15 hour art exam

I just wanted to write this out because i feel so frustrated. I have my a level art exam this Wednesday and ive felt so prepared for it. Then i noticed my brother started to cough and i asked him if hes ill because then i could stay away from him (not to be rude) so i didnt catch his cold and he told me hes fine it was just because he woke up, so i just carried on as normal and was in the same rooms as him all day (since we always spend time together), then yesterday he was coughing so much and he told me hes definetly ill now and i said can u just stay away from me. instead he decides its funny to cough right in my face and laugh about it and when i get annoyed and tell him i can't be ill this week he just says its not a bad cold just a bit of a cough but colds affect everyone differently and now i have no idea how ill feel for my exam this week. ive already started sneezing and then i usually have a bad cough and sniffles for a week.

im so frustrated because whenever im ill i purposely stay away from everyone and stay in my room, when i cook i make sure im extra clean but my brother doesnt care at all how hes gonna affect everyone else i can literally hear him coughing everywhere right now and just in every room of the house, its so disrespectful in my opinion i hate it so much.

It is so annoying how sometimes people do not realise how much their actions could affect you even when you tell them to kindly minimise doing it around you.. of course it cannot be helped but at least they should make an effort ig?

Dw your exam is going to be a success try not to let that affect your mindset keep a strong mindset in order to overcome the obstacles that is hindering u

All I'd really say is to make sure that when you get home get plenty of naps and rest and go to bed early as it should help with how you feel a huge amount and drink loads of water. Also plan when to take paracetamol or whatever and don't be afraid of having bathroom breaks (Id go to the bathroom just to clear my nose every now and then). Either way it should be fine, the atmosphere is really relaxed and peaceful not like other exams. Just remember to bring plenty of tissues/cough sweets/painkillers, the examiner will most likely be okay with it and good luck! 🙂 the exam is much nicer than it seems!

No, I didn’t I’m not sure how that works but it may be worth a try. Either way it’d be a good idea to let your teachers know or head of year to see if they can do anything about it 🙂

Actually it went pretty well to begin with but nearing the end of today I started to feel lightheaded because of the turpentine I’m using. Really couldn’t focus, I was just all over the place. I took a supervised rest break though which helped me concentrate when I got back to my final piece.

Ohh that kinda happened to me too, maybe you could ask them to let you near a window, a girl in my exam was allowed to move on the second day, but they might not let you.
