Retaking year 12

I’m really disliking the subjects I’m doing and wondering if retaking year 12 would be good idk anyone who has done it and Ik I’ll be the oldest but I’m just really disliking the subjects I’m doing rn is retaking year 12 common?

I quit yr12 after 3 days bc i hated it so much and then the next September started a lvl3 course in illustration. It was the best decision I ever made. At first I was scared I would be the oldest but there were quite a few the same age and even someone whos 26, but no one treats her differently. It was definitely scary at first but if it's a course you love then it will all work out.

You need to speak to your school / college asap to see if they would even allow you to retake Year 12 - they are totally entitled to say no and you cannot just assume they would say yes. The same would apply if you tried to switch to another school / college - they do not have to automatically accept you.
