What is the Head Start scheme at Kingston Uni?
Here at Kingston there is the understanding that moving away to uni can be super exciting but also quite nervewracking! For those of you joining us in September and are starting to feel a little bit nervous then you might be interested in our Head start programme to ease you in!
Head start is a mixture of completely free to sign up to events that range from online to in person! If you’re looking at one of the in person events, they are either one day or three days and with the three day events comes the chance to spend some time getting some experience in halls as there is provided accommodation at Seething Wells!
The programme is an amazing way to ease any nerves about heading off to uni and the events will provide you with a wealth of tips for when you do start your uni experience! From getting to meet current students to advice on budgeting and tips for getting a part time jobs, the aim of Head Start is to prepare you as much as possible and is definitely worth looking into!
There are a couple of important factors that you do have to meet to be able to take part in Head start and these are that you hold a firm offer for an undergraduate course here at Kingston and if you plan to take part in a three day event you must be 18 or over to stay in the provided accommodation.

The Head Start scheme for 2024 will be between July and September, with registration for this opening in due course.
