A level chem and bio CGP textbooks or exam board ones

For A level chem and bio is the CGP textbooks or exam board ones better. I understand the exam board ones have a lot of detail but I feel the CGP ones are nice and easy to understand but I don't know if the content in them is good enough. I'm aiming for A/A* in bio and chem.

With the exam board endorsed ones, our school library let us loan them out.
Personally, I prefer the textbooks.

Exam board endorsed ones are always better, the CGP revision guides are quite nice as additional summaries or to break down confusing concepts. I also like reading the CgP books to get an idea lf the topic so I can understand all the detailed stuff in the textbook.

Don’t bother with textbooks! Watch YT videos instead: Miss Estruch for Biology, Machemguy for Chemistry!

I don’t think Textbooks are worth it really: you can spend ages reading them of course but why would you if a video will give you all of that and more and present it in a more engaging way!

Yes heard he’s good too

Spending money on something doesn’t mean it’s better! (Eg paying for education doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be better!)

YT videos have been made by experienced teachers and examiners so they know exactly what you need for an A*! These teachers make their own resources too and so many students are in the comments telling them how much they’ve improved so I think they’re brilliant!

And yes I forgot to reply, I do bio and chem currently. Try videos out, if they don’t work use studymind which is essentially an online textbook!
