Exeter (Cornwall) LLB law with business (M111)

Hello guys I am hoping to join Exeters penryn campus this September 2024 to study Law with Business which I think is the perfect fit for me and my plans for the future.

I wanted to ask a few questions:

Firstly my contextual offer is ABB, how linient are they with entry requirements, will they still admit you if your achieved grades are one or two grades below?

I filled out the extenuating circumstances form as my father passed away from cancer in august 2023, will they take the form into account? And if so what impact would it have on my entry requirement?

Also I am an international student, how would I go about contacting the penryn campus about clearing, hopefully it doesn't come to that...

And for some more light hearted questions:

how many people attend the penryn campus?
how many people are currently taking the Law with business M111 course (I couldn't find specific statistics for the course)
If anyone is currently taking the course your experience would be appreciated!

Thank you for any answers you can provide!

Exeter is pretty lenient with grades, especially for the cornwall campus, I would not worry.

I have an offer for law with business for September 2024 too! I’m confused about the clearing too but i assume you’d call the university from their phone number that’s on google. On google it says that around 6000 students attend the Penryn campus. The extenuating circumstances form doesn’t affect the entry requirements I think, I think it affects your grades as I think you get a certain percentage more of the total raw marks for the paper added on to your mark but i’m not too sure.
Hi I have the same worries as well. Supposed to be starting at the Streatham campus and my offer is also ABB and my dad also died in August 2023. I hope you're ok I know how tough it is and hope we'll both be at Exeter soon!

Hey I called in to the uni to ask about how they consider the extenuating circumstances and from my understanding it grants a degree of leeway say if you miss a grade or two, considering bereavement of a major family member is quite a serious concern they definitely will grant some flexibility.
sending good will and plenty of lucky your way.

Hi I believe the percentage added Is if you contact Cambridge/Edexcel (whatever exam board you take) about it, which I did not do, if you contact the uni about it through the extenuating circumstances then they will consider granting leeway once results have come out depending on the circumstance.

also while I am not sure about the number of students at Penryn I did contact the uni statistic board for the course stats and received some info about last year's offers given and the total enrollments which I will post below.

I contacted the admission statistics team at Exeter for the LLB Law with Business programmes statistics and they were very kind to give me the statistics for last year which I hope I am allowed to share below:

LLB Law with Business programme statistics for 2023/2024 entry:

I hope this helps everyone applying and raises your confidence in getting in once results come out as it seems they are looking to expand the courses intake although that's just my two sence, good luck everyone!
