Friend won't leave me alone

I know this sounds silly but a guy at college will not leave me alone at all since December. I'm in Year 12 and from the first day he tried to be friends I didn't want it. It's almost becoming obsessive messaging me constantly, following me even when I don't say a word. I've really had enough and feel as though I'm going to snap.

I feel bad because he has adhd and probably can't help it to an extent but it's taking a massive toll on me. By exams are in just a few weeks and every time I revise on my breaks he doesn't shut up or leave me alone. I even see him on the bus on the way to college so apart from the bathroom there's not really anywhere to hide from him.

I want to end it but I'm struggling how/if I should. Any advice would be appreciated 🙂
Hey, has he made any other friends? Like a group or something? I think the best thing you could do in this case is actually let him know that your exams are coming up and that you'd like some quiet time to study alone. I'm not sure if he'll leave you alone in the long run, but suggesting that he should make new friends or simply asking for some alone time could work. It's understandable to feel bad, but if it's really troubling you, try to let him know that he's bothering you a little too much..
Sorry if this isn't that helpful 😄

Be firm with him and assert your boundaries: "Listen, I really need to get my head down and focus on revision.."

Block his number

Use earphones on the bus and put your bag on the seat next to you, or sit with others so he can't occupy a seat near you

Talk to a member of staff you trust who can speak to him - the 'following' behaviour you mention is concerning
