Will I get into my dream uni?

Hello ! I just wanted to enquire about SOAS clearing. I’ve received an offer with BBB (predicted AAB) but I’m scared I’ll get ABC, or AAC, as I have a significantly weaker subject. I understand that despite the overall UCAS points being higher, the university has the grounds to reject me if I don’t achieve BBB. However, what is clearing like for SOAS? Specifically for the BA Language courses like Korean and Arabic , are there many places available, and if so, what is the typical offer?

Ring SOAS and ask them if they normally have some flexibility on results day for your course, and if they do then what they will normally take into account when deciding which applicants to accept when they haven't met their offer. They may reassure you that applicants with ABC or AAC for a BBB offer would normally be accepted (or it may only be possible if the C is in a less relevant subject).

Hi Wingstop,

Which course are you applying for?

It's definitely worth getting in touch with the admissions team in order to clear up your worries. You can contact them by email [email protected] or call on +44 (0)20 3510 6974.

Best of luck!
