EPQ help - War & Science

Hi I'm doing my EPQ. My question is 'To what extent is war a catalyst for scientific discovery'.

I was thinking of looking into the race to space with the Cold War, and the Manhattan project. If you can think of any more examples I'd love to hear it.

I'm having trouble finding information and I'm positively dreading the lit review. If anyone has any tips, resources that were helpful or relate to my question I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you.

For information, perhaps you could try and look at Wikipedia, and take a look at the references cited at the bottom of the page - obvs don't cite Wikipedia as a source. For the lit review, I would say try and do it in tandem with your research, as it means you can disqualify any unreliable sources and lessens your work load at the end.

I would also suggest defining a time period, just to make your essay more focused. It doesn't have to be a short time period though, mine was almost 500 years
