What to expect after accepting an offer (Masters)?

Hi everyone,

I accepted an offer to study a Masters degree at Edge Hill a few months ago, and it's been radio silence since. I haven't had confirmation that they've received my acceptance (is that a thing?), and I'm still receiving emails from them encouraging me to apply for postgraduate study. I had some issues with my application initially, so I'm a little worried that something else has gone wrong.

Is this normal, or should I drop them an email?

Thanks in advance.

I'd pick up the phone to the Admissions Office. You'll get an answer straight away which will put your mind at rest or otherwise it will get them to find out what the cause is for the glitch.

Hi, I feel similar. I’m planning to do a masters in edge hill this year (child and adolescent mental health) but have had little to no contact from edge hill so getting annxious about schedules/start times etc.

100% get in touch with them. I can see someone has posted the phone number above.

Too many people rely on email and forget the value of a phone call.

Call them and then ask for the name and email of the person you spoke to, and then send an email after the call summarising the conversation and actions.

Hi Jasmine,

Give them a call directly. If in doubt pick up the phone and explain the situation. You could also call the faculty and ask to speak to the programme lead, too.

Thanks Tom, I tried to email a different email and got a lot more support and information! So feel a lot more at ease now 😌
